Characteristics of the event:

The new research instiute Markets, Organization and Votes in Economics (MOVE) at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona announces a two-day conference combining longer presentations by invited speakers and shorter presentations of submitted papers. The conference will be held in Barcelona, on September 6 and 7, 2010. 

Attendance at the conference is open to all, with a registration fee of 200 Euros. Attendees are responsible for their own travel expenses, although reduced hotel rates will be available. Individuals wishing to submit a paper for presentation should email the title, authors and an extended abstract to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by June 1, 2010, and indicate their desire to present. Decisions on conference presentations will be made by July 1, 2010.

A special issue of the Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization on the topic will be edited by Rachel Croson (UTD), Uri Gneezy (UCSD) and Pedro Rey-Biel (UAB). Work may be considered for the special issue even if the research is not presented at the conference. Full papers for the special issue are due November 1, 2010.
