Short Bio:

Andrea Mattozzi is a tenured associate professor at MOVE and at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. Previously, he was assistant professor of economics at the California Institute of Technology. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 2004. His main research interests lie in political economy and applied microeconomics theory. He has published articles on the effects of political uncertainty on the adoption of redistribution policies, the selection of politicians under alternative electoral systems, the role of social learning in political games, and the effects of participation requirements in popular referenda. His research has been supported by a NSF grant (2006-2009) and by a Ramón y Cajal fellowship (2010-2015).
