Short Bio:
Ana Rute Cardoso is an Associate Research Professor at IAE Barcelona (CSIC), the Institute for Economic Analysis of the Spanish National Research Council since 2008. She received her Ph.D. in 1997 at the European University Institute in Florence, Italy, where she was awarded the prize for the Best Thesis in Economics defended 1995-1998. She worked at the Institute for the Study of Labor (IZA Bonn) as a Research Associate from 2002 to 2008 and before she was Associate Professor at the University of Minho in Portugal. She is currently a Research Fellow with IZA Bonn. Her main research interests are Labor Economics and Economics of Inequality. Ana Cardoso is a MOVE Research Fellow since 2010.
