Short Bio:
Francesc Obiols-Homs is associate professor of Economics at at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, and a Barcelona GSE affiliated professor. He received his PhD from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 1996. After graduation he obtained a Human Capital and Mobility Grant from the European Comission and did a postdoctoral stage at ECARES-Université Libre de Bruxelles, 1996-1998. He was assistant professor at the Centro de Investigación Económica of the Instituto Tecnológico Autonomo de México, 1998-2004, at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, 2004-2007, and Ramon y Cajal Fellow, 2005-2007. His main research interests are Macroeconomics and Aggregate Fluctuations. Francesc Obiols-Homs is a MOVE Research Fellow since the creation of the institute in 2009.
