Short Bio:

Nezih Guner is ICREA research professor at MOVE, associate professor at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and Research Professor of Barcelona GSE. He received his PhD from University of Rochester in 2000.  After graduating from University of Rochester, he was an assistant professor of economics at Pennsylvania State University, 1999-2000 and 2001-2006, Queen’s University (Kingston, Canada), 2000-2001, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, 2007-2009, and Ramon y Cajal Fellow, 2007-2009. His main research interests are Macroeconomics and Economic Demography. Nezih Guner was a visiting researcher at the Central Bank of Republic of Turkey in 1993-1994. He is a Research Fellow with Institute for Study of Labor (IZA) and a Research Affiliate with Center for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). He is a co-editor of Economic Inquiry and an Associate Editor of Journal of Population Economics. Nezih Guner is a MOVE Research Fellow since the creation of the institute in 2009.
