The goal of the workshop is to identify and analyze economic and policy issues related to the financing of R&D and technology transfer. A variety of relevant topics will be discussed, including venture capital, university technology transfers, spin-offs, open and mixed source, licensing, spillovers and collaboration between industry and universities. The workshop is designed to stimulate the interaction between academics, politicians and entrepreneurs. To that end, it has been design to include two complementary activities: the presentation of original academic works by a selected group of junior and senior professors, and a non-technical round table on the “Financing of Start-ups and Young Radical Innovators”.
